ANNOUNCEMENTS MINISTRY
The purpose of this ministry is to read the announcements and acknowledgements during the Worship Celebration Service.
ASSOCIATE MINISTERS’ PULPIT MINISTRY
The purpose of this ministry is to assist the Pastor during the Worship Celebration Service by carrying out a designated pulpit assignment. All Associate Ministers are also encouraged to work in others ministries within SMBC and develop an outreach ministry that exemplifies the love of Christ.
BANNER AND ARTS MINISTRY
The purpose of this ministry is to design and prepare banners for all special Church occasions and prepare the Church motto banner.
AUDIO VISUAL MINISTRY
The purpose of this ministry is to record the Worship Celebration Service and reproduce the service through CDs and DVDs. There is an individual donation to help defray the cost of reproduction.
AFRICAN HISTORY MINISTRY
To recognize outstanding achievements Americans of African Heritage to science, literature and the arts.
Ministry Goals and Objectives:
To make at least ten (10) minute presentations during the Sunday Morning Worship Celebration –“Moments in African History”
CHILDRENS’ CHURCH
The purpose of this ministry is to promote, guide, and encourage Christ-like living of children and youth of SMBC. The children/youth participate in Children’s Worship, classroom Bible Study, and special group presentations
HEALTH/AWARENESS MINISTRY
The purpose of this ministry is to lead SMBC in becoming more health conscious by promoting nutritious eating habits, health screening projects, and regular doctor’s check-ups.
CULINARY MINISTRY
The purpose of this ministry is to plan, purchase, prepare, and serve meals for the entire Church Family whenever requested to do so. This ministry also coordinates all activities within the Fellowship Hall.
PRAISE DANCE MINISTRY
The purpose of this ministry is to enhance the Worship Celebration Service through expressions in dance while using inspirational spiritual music. Praise Dance is provided for youth and adults.
BUS MINISTRY
The purpose of this ministry is to provide transportation service for SMBC members and non-members to and from the Worship Celebration Service.
