                    OUR PASTOR

Willie Frank Williams, Jr. was born on December 1, 1959, in McGregor, Texas.  He is the son of the remarkable parents, Robbie and Willie Frank Williams, Sr.  His parents were also blessed to have two other children, name Joy (sister) and Greg (brother).  When he was a young man, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was baptized.  Willie, Jr.  is a 1982 graduate of Texas Christian University, in Fort Worth, Texas.  While attending this university, he also played football.  He also attended, Southern Bible Institute, in Dallas, Texas, until he was called to pastor.  He has been married to his beloved and beautiful wife, Sharon, for thirty-one years.  They were wonderfully blessed with two lovely daughters, Alexandria and Wynden. These ladies of his life made him the best husband, father, companion, family man, and even more. 

 

Reverend Willie Frank Williams, Jr. was the pastor of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church for almost eighteen years.  He also taught public education for twenty-five years, in the state of Texas and Arkansas, with twelve years in Alternative Learning Environment.

Reverend Williams, Jr. served as Pastor elected in August 2014, until he was installed as Starlight Missionary Baptist Church 8th Pastor, on December 7, 2014.   On August 4, 2015, he received the key to the city of Port Arthur, Texas at Shiloh Baptist Church.  His motto is “We hope the way you come in our doors is not the way you leave.”  During his first year, here at Starlight, he has expanded new membership with fifty-three new members, revised new member’s orientation booklet, teaching men’s Special Sunday School classes, appointed six new deacons in training, the first new Pastoral Relations Ministry, upgrading our Music Ministry, and also the Audio and Visual Ministry for their technology in the Sanctuary, to enhance the worship celebration with the projection of television screens,  Web Maintenance and Photo Ministry, Sanctuary repairs, restriping the parking lots, roof and gutter repairs, and future upgrades of the Fellowship Hall and the McCarty Auditorium.

 

Reverend Willie Frank Williams, Jr. has a “DESTINY” ...When my heart is right towards God, God is obligated to orchestrate circumstances, situations, and events in my life to bring me into the knowledge of things I need to know that are crucial and critical for the fulfillment of my DESTINY… He has not only been a mentor and a spiritual blessing to our church family, but also to others outside our church home too.
